College Visit

College Visits

Visiting a college is a great way to find out if that school will be a good fit for you! We encourage you to start these college visits as early as your junior year.

College visits are to be counted as a field trip and not as an absence. Students are allowed up to 3 college visits during their tenure at WCHS.

To schedule a college visit, you should set up an appointment through the college you are planning to visit. Once you have your visit planned, you should:

  1. Get a form from the front office before the visit and have your teachers sign off on your form before you go.

  2. After you participate in your visit, have a college official sign off to verify that you were there.

  3. Bring that form back to the front office when you return to school.

It is the student's responsibility to inform teachers of an upcoming college visit by showing them the college visitation form and to make up work missed in classes. If the student does not show the form to the teacher, he/she will be counted absent.

This information call also be found in the WCHS Student Handbook

Several colleges are offering virtual versions of their campus tours. Check out these schools in Georgia for their virtual campus experience.
